Per the terms of the agreement, the parties intend to conduct a research program aimed at expanding the use of their disulfide linker technology and developing non-addictive analgesics for the treatment of pain. The research program has a targeted start date of March 1, 2018, and is expected to be led by UQ researcher and PreveCeutical Chief Research Officer Dr. Harendra Parekh. PreveCeutical will own all intellectual property developed under the program and will be granted an option to negotiate an exclusive worldwide license to UniQuest’s background IP.
