Inventure Foods (SNAK) Boosts Kettle-Cooked Potato Chips Production through Investment in Indiana Plant
On Tuesday September 6, 2016, Inventure Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNAK), a marketer and manufacturer of specialty food brands, made public an expansion of its existing kettle-cooked potato chip manufacturing capability. The company will add four new 300-pound commercial kettles and ancillary potato processing equipment to its Bluffton, Indiana, manufacturing facility. The addition of the four kettles and accessory equipment will increase the plant’s kettle cooking capacity by 50 percent and result in an additional 100,000 pounds of ‘kettle chips’ per week.
