Shares of Lightwave Logic (OTCQB: LWLG) are up 5% in mid-day trade following the company’s news that it has achieved bandwidth suitable for 25Gbps data rates in an all-organic polymer ridge waveguide intensity modulator prototype, representing a significant improvement over its initial 10Gbps device modulator. The Mach-Zehnder design allows Lightwave to address 100Gbps using its polymer photonics integrated circuit technology platform.
