The Electric Grid – Reimagined hosted by Philip Shen

March 15, 2021, 10-11am

Hear from C-level execs of companies that are currently leading the charge in shaping the future of the electric grid. The transformation of the grid remains still in its nascent stages and represents a key megatrend over the coming decades. This trend has the potential to create substantial value for the companies harnessing the opportunity and also the potential to destroy value for those who ignore/neglect the tidal wave of change ahead.

Confirmed Panelists: John Berger, CEO of Sunnova, Raghu Belur, Chief Product Officer of Enphase, and Aaron Jagdfeld, CEO of Generac.

Topics:

  • Exploration of the expected changes ahead
  • How does the grid need to adapt and evolve?
  • How are incumbents expected to react? What are the opportunities and risks for incumbent players.
  • What are the elements of a winning formula?
  • How could Public Utility Commissions adapt and evolve and how could PUCs react to the impending changes?
EV Charging – Gas Stations of the Future hosted by Craig Irwin

March 17, 2021, 11am-12pm

ROTH will have a conversation with CEOs from five EV Charging companies about the business opportunity unfolding to serve the growing electric vehicle fleet. The opportunity serving both commercial and consumer electric vehicles will be covered. ROTH will also look to explore the different views on how the market will develop, and look for an update on near-term new project activity. They expect investors to come away with a sense of the diversity of business models that could be successful, and breadth of technology and business model innovation.

Confirmed Panelists: Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Beam Global (BEEM), Gregory Polaisne, CEO of Nuvve (NBAC), Michael Farkas, CEO of Blink Charging (BLNK), Michael Masquelier, CEO of WAVE/Ideanomics (IDEX), Scott Mercer, CEO of Volta (SNPR).

Conversation topics will include:

  • What’s happening with new project activity
  • Availability of subsidies to accelerate adoption
  • Commercial and consumer vehicle charging solutions
  • The blue sky scenario for 2030
Plastics Recycling: Technology, Demand and Supply Chains Panel hosted by Gerry Sweeney

March 16, 2021, 3-4pm

On the panel we will review multiple different technologies which look to address recycling of PET, the most recycled plastic to Polypropylene the least recycled plastic. Emerging technologies offer promises to improve opportunities to recycle lower quality material more economically than in the past. These emerging technologies are in response to increasing demands for recycled material in packaged goods. Demand is coming from ESG target set by global CPG companies as well as by increasing regulation by governments. Finally, with the emergence of new technologies which offer the hope of increased capability – the question still lingers – can we adequately collect, transport and supply planned production, especially in the polypropylene arena.

Confirmed panelists: Daniel Solomita (Founder and CEO, Loop Industries), David Brenner (Chief Commercial Officer, PureCycle), and Tim Stedman (CEO, Agilyx).

Electronics Recycling: Technology & Emerging Trends Panel hosted by Gerry Sweeney

March 17, 2021, 1-2pm

We speak to C-level executives to discuss technology and emerging trends in electronics recycling. This includes ensuring the safety, integrity and destruction of data and the rise of electric vehicles and their lithium ion batteries. Technology will be key to safely and effectively recovering materials which can help a circular economy within electronics & batteries. Included in the recycling efforts are precious metals and rare minerals, which are coming under increasing scrutiny for their association with conflict regions.

Confirmed panelists: Duane Nelson (CEO, EnviroLeach Technologies) and Ajay Kochhar (CEO and Co-Founder, Li-Cycle).
