CNS Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: CNSP), a biotechnology company focused on building a pipeline of innovative therapies addressing significant unmet medical needs, reported second-quarter 2026 results and provided an update on the corporate strategy introduced in March. Cash and cash equivalents totaled approximately $20 million at June 30, up from $7.2 million at Dec. 31, 2025, primarily reflecting a May private placement that generated approximately $22.5 million in gross proceeds. The company reported a second-quarter net loss of approximately $2.6 million, or $0.37 per basic and diluted share, compared with a net loss of approximately $2.4 million, or $6.42 per basic and diluted share, a year earlier. Research and development expenses remained approximately $1.2 million while general and administrative expenses increased to approximately $1.5 million from $1.2 million.
CNS said it continues to execute its strategic pivot beyond a singular focus on glioblastoma multiforme and expects to in-license or acquire one or more development-stage therapeutic assets by year-end 2026. The company has completed its global clinical trial of Berubicin for glioblastoma and is closing out the study while pursuing out-licensing discussions for Berubicin and TPI 287. CNS also appointed life sciences executive Michal Fisher to its board in May and said its existing cash resources are expected to fund planned operations beyond the next 12 months as it evaluates business development opportunities and works to build a diversified therapeutic pipeline.
