Lucky Minerals Inc. (TSX.V: LJ) (OTCQB: LKMNF) (FRA: 8LM) is a publicly traded Canadian venture stage exploration mining company targeting a large-scale porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum-silver system in southern Montana that has the potential of holding a multimillion ounce gold deposit. The company is focused on its Emigrant Creek Project located in the core of the Emigrant Mining District, a historically important mining region with exploration and mining activities stretching back to the 1800s.
The project area contained within Lucky Minerals wholly owned land package could conceivably contain a 1 billion-plus ton resource based on the exploration and drilling data compiled from each zoned region. Historical records indicate that $20 million already has been spent in exploring the property and assembling a database, which is owned by Lucky Minerals Inc. This database, along with an important U.S. Geological Survey that includes the Emigrant District, points toward the existence of a very large porphyry system with significant copper and gold resources.
The Emigrant Mining District has been the site of small scale lode and placer operations since the 1870s. An estimated 40,000 ounces of gold was produced there over a 70-year span, predominantly from placer operations. Over the decades, several mining companies have explored the region and completed various steps in the mining process. Many of the drill holes were terminated or completed before reaching the desired mineralized target areas for ongoing exploration.
Lucky Minerals is committed to conveying the scientific data gathered during mineral exploration to all stakeholders of the Emigrant Creek Project. On July 26, 2017, the company and its subsidiary, Lucky Minerals Montana (LMM), received a license from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality to conduct exploratory drilling at the project site. Exploration projects underway or planned for the Emigrant Creek Project include an airborne geophysical survey, geological mapping, ongoing sampling, and further diamond drilling.
Lucky Minerals CEO and President Robert Rosner, who has significant experience as a mining industry entrepreneur and executive, is joined by a management team with decades of experience in the mining, industrial, international finance, and high-tech sectors. The company’s technical committee brings nearly 100 years of combined experience in geology and resource financing, building and operating mines, and geological consulting.
